Dr. Kellie Hadnot, O.D.
Dr. Kellie Hadnot was raised in Chinook, Montana and attended Montana State University in Bozeman earning a degree in Cell Biology. She graduated with distinction from Pacific University with a Doctorate of Optometry in 2008. During optometry school, Dr. Hadnot developed a special interest in the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases such as diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Completing an ocular disease residency program at the Portland VA Medical Center allowed Dr. Hadnot to further her training and specialize in ocular disease management.
As part of her residency training, Dr. Hadnot also worked with partially sighted veterans teaching them to use magnifiers and low vision devices. Prior to coming to back to Montana, Dr. Hadnot worked in Portland, Oregon as an attending optometrist at the Pacific University College of Optometry. As an attending doctor in the ocular disease and special testing department, she supervised and mentored student interns.
Dr. Hadnot is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Montana Optometric Association. She is currently working toward earning additional board certification with the American Board of Optometry. Dr. Hadnot volunteers her time to provide vision screenings for the Special Olympics Opening Eyes organization at statewide Special Olympics events, and she has participated in eye care missions to underserved areas of the Philippines and Belize.
Dr. Hadnot is excited to be with Family Vision Care and is looking forward to providing these specialized services, in addition to all other optometric services, to the people of the Missoula area. |
